Ashok Talreja, MD, FACC, FHRS, is a skilled cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiologist at Premier Cardiac and Vascular in Springfield and Fredericksburg and Annandale, Virginia. Dr. Talreja has over 10 years of experience providing comprehensive care for complex cardiac problems. 

After earning his medical degree from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Dr. Talreja went on to complete his residency training in internal medicine and a fellowship in cardiology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York. 

He continued with further specialized training in cardiac electrophysiology at the same medical center. During his training, he also participated in clinical research under the mentorship of expert cardiologists, Dr. John Fisher and Dr. LeJemtel.

Dr. Talreja has performed thousands of cardiac procedures, including ablation for atrial fibrillation (A-fib), supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), ventricular tachycardia (VT), as well as pacemaker and cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) implantation. He is also highly trained in leadless pacemakers, subcutaneous ICDs, and left atrial appendage (LAA) closure.

He is certified in cardiovascular disease and cardiac electrophysiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Talreja is also a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Heart Rhythm Society.
